Go Logic, a design-build firm based in Maine, is introducing a new collection of prefabricated passive homes that have the appearance of a stately New England cottage, but with a modern twist.
Curbed reports that the Go Home collection has 10 factory-made models in sizes from 600 to 2,500 square feet. Homes can be assembled on site in less than two weeks.
Homes are inspired by rural modernism and have an open and airy layout. Customers can choose their base model, cladding, windows, trim, and flooring.
In addition to a handsome aesthetic and speedy construction, the homes are designed to passive house standards, making them air-tight, comfortable, and energy efficient. According to the architect, the Go Homes save 80 percent of the energy consumed by a typical house.
