U.S. cities just keep growing— according to U.S. Census Bureau data, large urban areas are growing nearly twice as fast than in the first decade of the century.
Analysts at WalletHub set out to see which of these metropolitan areas are the most attractive for people looking to move. They scored the 62 largest cities in the country based on 50 key indicators of attractiveness, including safety, job opportunities, quality of public schools, and housing affordability.
Virginia Beach, VA, had the highest composite score. The city ranked third in both affordability and safety and sixth in health and education. Rounding out the bottom of the list was Detroit, MI, which came in at 40 out of 62 or above for all indicators.
