Los Angeles County Approves Granny Flats For The Homeless

Aug. 23, 2017

Los Angeles found a creative strategy to address its rising homeless population, which has reached 60,000.

CityLab reports that L.A. County has approved a pilot program called The Granny Flats Motion, where homeowners are given $75,000 to build a backyard accessory dwelling unit that can be rented by a homeless family or individual.
