August introduced the Smart Keypad and Doorbell Cam, which can be installed separately or in tandem. The battery-operated keypad doesn’t require a smartphone for it to be used because unique codes are auto-generated for either one-time or regular use by guests. The doorbell cam lets users see and speak with visitors through a 140-degree HD video camera with two-way audio. A motion sensor captures video of visitors even if they don’t ring the bell. Users can even view a livestream of their door. The camera is Bluetooth low energy and Wi-Fi enabled.
