Appliance brand KitchenAid has introduced a new commercial-style range that it says blends professional performance and connected features.

"Our products are inspired by those who use them,” says Christy Hoskins, senior brand manager for KitchenAid, which is part of the Whirlpool Corp. family. “In this case, that's people whose favorite room at home is the kitchen. With this new KitchenAid range, we hope to encourage culinary creativity—be it testing a new recipe or tackling a challenging new cooking technique—among this passionate group."

Bringing the tools of professional chefs into residential kitchens, the unit offers Ultra Power Burners, including a removable middle burner that allows for a wok; it also has a bow-tie-designed convection fan to promote airflow.

Smart features include compatibility with the KitchenAid app, allowing users to monitor and control the oven at the touch of a smartphone or tablet and voice control capabilities with the Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa. These will allow users to control the appliance remotely with simple commands, or from another room of their home if needed.

The stove comes eight colors as well as a stainless-steel finish. “Users will also be able to alter the range color with a new door and kick plate to breathe fresh life into their kitchen,” the company says.
