A Map Shows Which Home Features Rule in Every State

Homeowners in Illinois like watching hockey games in a finished basement, while a household in Texas tends to favor lounging at their covered patio.

Realtor.com looked into its 1.5 million active listings of single-family homes to see which home features are most popular in each of the 50 states, and picked one with the most local flair.

Other locally-driven trends include vaulted ceilings in Montana and Utah, scenic views in Hawaii and Colorado, and a storm shelter in Oklahoma.
