Through the insight of design experts, Trulia predicts 10 decor trends for 2017. Cerused woods, with a limed-wax finish, gives color and reveals unusual grain patterns. Dark colored appliances with matte textures are an alternative to stainless steel. Jewel tone paint colors and polished brass and bronze hardware give a room some sparkle.
If we had to name one of the biggest trends of 2017, marble would be it. In white or black, the material has jumped over from chic cafes and restaurants and into our kitchens and bathrooms. It’s not just for countertops, though: Look out for marble motifs in carpets, wallcoverings, and even fabrics.
