Median land prices up 4 percent, NAR reports

A recent survey of Realtors Land Institute members revealed that the median price of land in the U.S. was up 4 percent for the 12 months ended June 2014.

The survey further indicates that approximately half of recent land sales were in the South, with 30 percent of reported land sales in Kentucky, Tennessee, the Carolinas, Georgia, Alabama, Mississippi, and Florida, and 26 percent in Kansas, Missouri, Arkansas, Louisiana, Oklahoma, and Texas.
