Data from the U.S. Census Bureau’s 2015 and 2006 1-Year American Community Survey shows that Millennials in some American cities are buying homes rather than renting. Two smaller cities in the Sacramento metro area, Elk Grove and Roseville, are among the top five places where Millennials are buying homes, perhaps because of the strong STEM job market in Sacramento. Sioux Falls, S.D., ranked first in this year’s study. Peoria, Ill., and Cary, N.C., were among the top 10.
