Mortgage rates to rise less than predicted, Fannie Mae says

Opinions vary on how much rates will change in 2015, but many still expect them to rise.

Fannie Mae recently said mortgage interest rates will increase next year to 4.3 percent, less than the 4.5-percent rate it predicted in an earlier forecast. The average national rate has stayed around 4 percent since mid-October. Many economists, however, are predicting that interest rates will approach or reach 5 percent in 2015.
