Popular financial-services company The Motley Fool explains why NASDAQ-listed SunPower’s purchasing of a stake in energy data company Tendril matters to the housing industry.
 
SunPower can now use Tendril’s data in its installations to optimize a home’s renewable energy consumption, provide stored energy when it’s needed, adapt to changing policies for solar, and improve sales by finding its ideal customers. As The Motley Fool puts it, these new capabilities are “a piece of the home of the future.”
