The National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) kicked off day one of the 2023 International Builders’ Show by naming the recipients of the 17th annual NAHB/Builders Mutual Insurance Company Safety Award for Excellence (SAFE) for outstanding commitment to jobsite safety. The 2022 SAFE Awards winners were honored at a ceremony on January 31, where Helitech Safety Director Paul Terry was named NAHB Safety Champion of the Year, NAHB reports.
These awards not only recognize efforts made in cutting-edge safety technology and leading jobsite safety programs, but also efforts in mental health programs and advocacy.
“NAHB is honored to recognize this year’s award winners for their dedication to jobsite safety,” said Jerry Passman, NAHB Construction Safety and Health Committee chairman. “Their commitment to total worker health is an achievement that should set an example throughout the residential construction industry.”
