The National Association of Home Builders recently announced Builder of the Year and For-Sale Community of the Year at the 2022 International Builders’ Show in Orlando, Florida. Berwyn, Pennsylvania-based Traditions of America was named 55+ Builder of the Year for its “close-to-home” active-adult communities, while Trilogy in Country Pointe Plainview Madison in Plainview, N.Y. was awarded For-Sale Community of the Year, NAHB reports. The 143-acre New York community is the largest in Nassau County and includes maintenance-free lifestyle amenities and recreational facilities for all of its residents.
“Traditions of America embraces new concepts and ideas to help deliver beautifully crafted homes and exciting amenities to engage a variety of prospective 55+ homeowners,” said Jennifer Landers, chair of NAHB’s 55+ Housing Industry Council and vice president of operations at Kolter Signature Homes, LLC, in Georgia.
At 143 acres, Country Pointe Plainview Madison is the largest lifestyle community in New York’s Nassau County. The community is designed in harmony with the surrounding residential area to provide a maintenance-free lifestyle for its residents. Amenities include a 29,000 square-foot clubhouse, two pools, spa, and retail plaza, as well as a two-mile walking trail connecting the community to a state park and 57 acres of recreational open space.
