National Rents Reach Six-Year High
Information from the Bureau of Labor Statistics reported that annual rent inflation rose to 3.5 percent in November, the highest since November 2008.
As national vacancy rates reach their lowest in more than 20 years, landlords across the country are significantly increasing the costs to rent a home. The number of rentals that remain vacant dropped to 7.4 percent during the third quarter of 2014, the lowest number since 1995.
