New App by Fannie Mae Provides Homebuyer Education

Fannie Mae recently launched the new app HOME, which educates future homeowners about “the steps and responsibilities of buying and owning a home,” HousingWire reports.

The application features a dashboard and checklist to track the user’s progress in the home buying process, four financial calculators, HUD-approved housing counseling agency locator, and educational media such as articles, videos, and more.

Calculators in the app include an affordability estimator, mortgage payment calculator, budget and down payment planner, and one that specializes how paying ahead can save money and reduce loan payback times.
