Outdoor spaces are top priorities for homeowners since the pandemic has kept Americans indoors. Brown Jordan Outdoor Kitchens latest 2021 Outdoor Living Report found 82% of American homeowners are more interested in updating their outdoor living spaces than they were before the pandemic. The report, conducted by The Harris Poll, surveyed 2,000 adults. One of the top desires for outdoor spaces are outdoor kitchens, reports Forbes. The majority of surveyed homeowners aged between 35 and 44 agreed that an outdoor kitchen is “very important” when designing an outdoor space.

“In this new landscape, people are committing larger budgets for a comprehensive outdoor experience that caters to cooking, entertaining and everyday living. Kitchens are now a necessity in these spaces, rather than an element saved for an update later on,” says Phil Kean, architect, builder and interior designer at Phil Kean Design Group in Winter Park, Florida.

A full outdoor kitchen can include any element found in an indoor kitchen, says Daniel Germani, creative director of Brown Jordan Outdoor Kitchens, an umbrella company that also includes Trex Outdoor Kitchens and Danver cabinetry.
