Pittsburgh Has One of Nation’s Hottest Markets

The average home price in Lawrenceville, an up-and-coming neighborhood in Pittsburgh jumped from $34,124 in the year 2000 to $160,013 last year.

According to CBS Pittsburgh, “it’s harder to get a bargain not just in the city, but throughout the region.”

In the same period of over a decade, the average price of a house in Allegheny County rose 59 percent from $84,000 to $134,000.
