Time on Market to Sell a Home Hits Historic Low
The National Association of Realtors’ “Profile of Home Buyers and Sellers” shows that in 2014 and 2015, homes sold after being on the market for a median of four weeks. This is the shortest time on market in 20 years, the NAR reports. The reason: a lack of inventory for available homes. NAR has been tracking the number of weeks a home is listed since 1987.
