MarketWatch walks readers through three prefabricated homes that can be ordered online at Amazon.com. The homes profiled range from 113 to 1,000 square feet and are priced between $5,000 and $40,000.
Not only is Amazon’s portfolio of houses for sale yet another example of the online retailer trying to sell everything to everybody, but it’s an early example of a sales model coming in the near future when buyers will be able to shop for a house, pick their floor plan, select options, and pay for their home completely on the internet.
