Tennessee law creates program to recruit youth into construction industry

The program will be run by a nonprofit under the Associated General Contractors of Tennessee

A new law in Tennessee will create a state program to recruit high school and college students into the construction industry. The Go Build Tennessee Act allows the state to use income from applications, renewals, and fines into advertising and marketing campaigns to attract young construction workers to the field.

A non-profit corporation run by the Associated General Contractors of Tennessee, the Associated Builders and Contractors, the Home Builders of Tennessee and the Tennessee Road Builders Association will run the program.
