Tesla will be producing more than just full solar roofs. Electrek reports that over the weekend, the company released images of a new solar panel product.
The panels, which will be made by Panasonic at the Gigafactory 2 facility in Buffalo, are meant for homeowners who don’t need a new roof but still want to benefit from solar electricity. They are sleek and low-profile with no visible mounting hardware.
Tesla told Electrek that once the new Panasonic module will go into production at Gigafactory 2 this summer, they will be used for all new residential projects going forward.
