Nine of the 10 best cities to sell a house are in Texas and Colorado, according to SmartAsset.
The site based its list on five factors: median home value, percentage of homes sold at a loss, average number of days on the market, closing costs, and number of real estate offices.
Houses in Denver are up for sale for only 27 days on average, and the median home value in the city has increased 11 percent from 2011 to 2015. Meanwhile, only 0.6 percent of homes in Plano, Texas, are sold at a loss.
Other cities on the list include Fort Collins, Colorado Springs, and Aurora in Colorado, and Grand Prairie, Irving, McKinney, and Dallas in Texas.
There’s only one Northeast city in our top 25. One reason for that is that closing costs tend to be higher in the Northeast region. Boston has the third-highest closing costs in the top 25.
