Top 10 Housing Markets With Prices Above Pre-Crisis Peaks

Homes in San Jose’s housing market today have prices that top its pre-crisis peak, RealtyTrac reports.

Austin, Texas, and Denver follow, which RealtyTrac explains is because the two cities have “been beneficiaries of California transplants looking for a hip and happening housing market without the high prices.”

Additionally, Raleigh, N.C., and Nashville, Tenn., made the top five thanks to strong demand from Buy to Rent operators funded by hedge funds and private equity.
