In some parts of the country it’s good to be a seller, while in other areas it’s a buyer’s paradise.
Economists at Zillow shared their results with Huffington Post readers after studying whether buyers or sellers have more negotiating power in a given market. Their study was done by comparing actual prices to asking prices and the number of days listings spent on Zillow. In places like Tampa, Fla., or Chicago, buyers will have “more time to make their decisions and can be bolder at the bargaining table by submitting bids further below list price.”
