U.S. protects borrowers from maternity discrimination

Several big lenders and insurers have been penalized by the Justice Department and the Department of Housing and Urban Development for refusing to lend to borrowers or co-borrowers who are, or are about to be, on maternity leave, the L.A. Times reports.
