Zillow’s head of research Skylar Olsen discusses low mortgage rates and housing affordability on CNBC’s “The Exchange.”
“The recent drop in the 30-year mortgage rate gives us a little bit of a reason to believe that this slow down won’t last very long,” Olsen said on the program. “It is advantageous for buyers in order to lock in that much lower rate in terms of their monthly affordability.”
Olsen also discussed the recent emergence of corporations in housing-strapped markets investing in the construction of new homes.
