A recent report from the National Association of Realtors (NAR) details the outdoor remodeling projects that make homeowners happy.
The NAR Economists’ Outlook blog reports two outdoor features that received perfect Joy Scores of 10: fire features and irrigation. Other features with high Joy Scores from homeowners included a new wood deck, a water feature, a statement landscape feature, and a new patio.
The report also found that 74 percent of homeowners have an increased sense of enjoyment when they are home after building a wood deck, and 87 percent reported a greater desire to be home after adding a statement feature to their landscape.
