Whole Foods and Starbucks Boost Home Prices

When the high-end grocery retailer Whole Foods announced it would be coming to Burbank, Calif., real estate listings started including the would-be store as an amenity, Southern California Public Radio reports.

"One of the things the listing agent is doing is touting that you'll be able to walk to Whole Foods from that property, and that has generated some excitement in some buyers," local real estate agent Eric Benz tells the radio. Similarly, a study done by Zillow found that homes closest to a Starbucks branch appreciated the most.
