New Ravenna's Latest Handcrafted Mosaic Designs

Interior designer Sasha Bikoff and tile brand New Ravenna have collaborated on the New World Collection, which features seven handcrafted designs that traverse time from 17th century Dutch cartography through antique laces and the classic American aesthetic, the company says. The collection includes Atlas Maior (shown), an interpretation of the 17th century map of the world by cartographer Joan Blaeu, complete with sea serpents, galleons at full mast, and frolicking dolphins. To simulate the aging of a crinkled antique map, the company’s design team applied a honed finish to the stones used in the mosaic and selected a darker grout to finish the piece.

The Kudmai collection from The Sacred Crafts is a new line of engineered flooring made from salvaged wood. Processed from vintage and decommissioned fishing boats in Thailand, the floors feature the natural age and seasoning for which reclaimed lumber is known. Planks measure 6 inches wide and can be packed in multiple lengths up to 60 inches. Every plank is made with a 15 mm Forest Stewardship Council–certified eucalyptus base layer and topped with 4 mm of reclaimed wood finished with low-sheen polyurethane.

RevoTile offers 26 options that include wood, marble, stone, and concrete looks. Tiles also come in three popular floor-tile sizes: 12 inches by 24 inches, 6 inches by 24 inches, and 6 inches by 36 inches.
