18 Housing Markets Near Manmade Environmental Hazards

Residents of the Riverside-San Bernardino-Ontario metro area in California live in a high-risk environmental area. According to Business Insider, 100 percent of zip codes in this area can be considered High Risk or Very High Risk in terms of manmade environmental hazards.

Other cities considered risky include Cleveland, Los Angeles, and Reading, Pa. 

The real estate analytics firm RealtyTrac says that one-third of all U.S. homes are in a ZIP code with high or very high risk for man-made hazards.
