Realtor.com broke down 10 cities with the biggest comeback stories in U.S. real estate. Out of 150 of the biggest metros in the U.S., the data team looked at markets with the best rebounds through 2016 after factoring their highest pre-recession median home price with their lowest low during the crash. They found that cities with knowledge hubs such as colleges, research centers, and an educated workforce that can attract new business and metros that diversified their economies tended to have the speediest recoveries.
