Fast Growing Cities are in Texas
A recent report from WalletHub shows that four of the 10 fastest-growing cities are in Texas. Frisco topped the list, with Midland, McKinney, and Austin all following.
Realtor.com reports that the analysis looked at population growth; median household income growth; decreases in unemployment and poverty; and the increase in the number of start-ups, businesses, and venture capital investments to make their conclusions. The top ten list also included Kent, Washington; Lehigh Acres and Fort Myers, Florida; Meridian, Idaho; Bend, Oregon, and Pleasanton California.
The slowest growing cities in the U.S. were primarily concentrated in the south. Shreveport, Louisiana topped the list, followed by Jacksonville, North Carolina.
