Canada Code to Allow Wood Buildings of Six Stories

Recent and pending building codes in several Canadian jurisdictions allows wood to be used in multiresidential and office buildings up to six stories, The Globe and Mail reports.

This is good news, say several analysts, who say that the increased use of a material that is usually less expensive than concrete or steel will increase the supply of apartment rentals and condos.
