Chinese Buyers Pay More than Triple the U.S. Median-Home Price

The U.S. is the number one destination for Chinese buyers looking for overseas properties, but data from Chinese real estate listing firm Juwai.com found that the U.S. ranks only number seven when it comes to home prices.

In other words, the average price of homes searched in the U.S. is not one of the highest out there. Instead, homes in Singapore, France, and Portugal take the top three spots, all over $1 million.

The average price of homes Chinese buyers search for in the U.S. is $725,510, which the Wall Street Journal reports is more than three times the median price of homes in the U.S..
