CityLab Maps The Great Housing Divide in New York and San Francisco

Two metropolises on each side of the U.S., New York and San Francisco, are known for their steep housing prices that continue to rise. But a close look reveals a great divide within city boundaries.

CityLab shares maps created by Property Shark, an online site that tracks housing sale prices in cities. Though both cities increase price increases, this isn’t felt by every neighborhood in the cities uniformly. In fact, some areas are experiencing declines in their value.
