Majority of renters say they prefer renting to home ownership
A survey found that many renters see renting as more convenient that owning.

Most renters say they prefer renting to home ownership, according to a survey by Apartments.com. Among renters who previously owned their homes, 51% said they prefer renting; and 56% of renters who have never owned a home said they prefer renting.
The top reasons for choosing to rent instead of buy: no unexpected repairs; low maintenance; the flexibility to move; more affordable; no unexpected tax increases; and can’t get or don’t want a mortgage.
