Marketing of green homes needs improvement

RE/MAX chief of energy solutions says builders need to make the benefits abundantly clear to homeowners

Energy-efficient features and sustainable building practices are becoming more popular in new home and condominium construction, but the home building industry needs to do a better job of making the benefits clear, according to Craig Foley, chief of energy solutions at RE/MAX Leading Edge. “There is a market transformation heading toward energy efficiency right now,” Foley told the Worcester (Mass.) Telegram. “The real estate industry has an incredible opportunity to promote energy-efficient housing,” Foley said.
