Immigration Crackdown Could Put A Damper On The Housing Market

With immigrants, including undocumented immigrants, partially filling the ranks of new homebuyers, the Trump Administration’s new immigration policies could slow the housing market.

An article at Bloomberg.com cited three immigrants who have balked at purchasing a home because of Trump immigration policies. The housing markets that have the biggest concentrations of foreign-born buyers including Miami, Silicon Valley, Los Angeles, San Francisco and New York, are most at risk. Home prices could decline if the crackdown continues, experts warn.
