Simpson Strong-Tie Student Scholarship Program Surpasses $3M
As part of its initiative to launch the next generation into trades careers, Simpson Strong-Tie, a manufacturer of structural connectors, fasteners, and other building solutions, recently announced that its Student Scholarship program has surpassed $3 million in total scholarships.
That $3 million included $360,000 awarded this year to 120 college juniors and seniors pursuing degrees in architecture, civil or structural engineering, and construction management.

In addition to scholarship funds, recipients of the program receive professional development opportunities as well as connections to a network of industry pros. Recipients also are given the opportunity to participate in an annual Student Scholarship Trip, where they meet with Simpson Strong-Tie employees, tour company facilities, and get first-hand insight into the construction industry.
The scholarship program was first launched in 1999, and since then, the company has supported more than 1,300 students in their trades career journeys.
