The cool fall days and even colder winter months are here, but that does not mean outdoor entertainment is closed for the year. Outdoor spaces have experienced surges of renovations and remodels this past summer as a result of the pandemic. And as CDC guidelines recommend remaining outdoors versus indoors for any small gatherings, that becomes more difficult in the winter. President of sales for Hestan reported an 80% increase in sales this summer, which has only continued throughout the year. Forbes suggests investing in fire pits and outdoor fireplaces, even outdoor heaters.
While outdoor grills are the most popular outdoor appliance, they are now becoming just a small part of some more luxurious outdoor kitchen items available.
Refrigerators and coolers will limit the need to go back into the house for cold storage items. Wine coolers, side burners vent hoods, sinks and ovens are also now available.
Some people are adding outdoor pizza ovens for a great casual dinner. According to Philip Laing of Fantana, "COVID has been devastating for some businesses, but we have been extremely blessed. Since the pandemic began our sales began to skyrocket. The outdoor scene, especially outdoor kitchens, have absolutely taken off and we are at the forefront of the boom. Pizza ovens are the new craze and Americans are beginning to view them as a necessity to add to their home experience."
