Sharp Offers Micro Management

There’s nothing new about wanting to move the microwave off the countertop, but Sharp has a plan to help designers and builders get the most out of precious counter space.

Microwaves in Sharp’s Over the Counter line allow for easy installation in previously hard-to-reach places. Venting air through the bottom of the unit means there’s no need to create ventilation space around the microwave.

There’s nothing new about wanting to move the microwave off the countertop, but Sharp has a plan to help designers and builders get the most out of precious counter space. Mounted directly to upper cabinets, the Sharp Over the Counter appliance illuminates the counter below with accent and task lighting and has an optional stainless steel accessory bar with hooks for keeping tools and utensils neat.

In addition, the OTC Designing a Better Solution and Where Should the Microwave Go? A Built-in Guide brochures illustrate how to incorporate a microwave anywhere in the kitchen, including:

  • in nearly any kitchen wall cabinet
  • in corner cabinets
  • over food preparation areas
  • under the counter
  • above islands
