AOL Real Estate showcases a collection of homes that literally bring the outdoors in.
Instead of typical sanded and cut wooden columns, these homes use decorative and functional pillars that more closely resemble the tree than the wood that comes from it. A team of architects and building designers from Atelier Boom Town in Montreal even kept the bark intact in one of their projects.
