Rammed-Earth: Ancient Construction Method Makes Comeback in Luxury Homes

When soil, gravel, and other natural materials are compressed into solid walls, you get rammed-earth, a method of building that has existed for several millennia.

The Wall Street Journal Real Estate reports that this ancient construction method is durable, energy efficient, and making “a surprising reappearance in multimillion dollar homes.”
