D.C. Developer Takes Risk on Apartments with Shared Eating Spaces

Washington, D.C. is an example of a city strapped for space but has abundant jobs. The Washington Post interviews SB-Urban, a developer who is testing a possible solution.

The developer and its partner Rooney Properties has designed a new real estate scene carved out of historic neighborhoods that feature small, furnished studio apartments with spacious shared spaces and programming for residents.
