Atlanta has the most dramatic changes in home value based on when homes were built

Clickable charts and graphs on Zillow show how the value, size and number of single-family homes constructed in nine metro areas have changed over time.

The site found different trends and patterns. Atlanta’s very new and very old homes sold well but the houses built in the 1950s, ’60s, and ’70s had a lower median home value. It was the only city of the nine that broke down like that.

Also, homes built in the first half of the 20th century in Austin, Denver, New York and Seattle all were more valuable than homes constructed later.
