This Passive House​ Uses 90 Percent Less Heating Energy

​A house built by Portland and Seattle-based builder Hammer & Hand​ uses 90 percent less heating energy compared to a conventional home of its size, Inhabitat reports.
The timber-clad home was recognized by the U.S. Department of Energy, winning a 2015 Housing Innovation Award.
