Best Job Markets for People Without Degrees

Some cities provide better opportunities than others for those who do not hold a bachelor’s degree.

The Wall Street Journal says that Louisville is the best spot to make decent money with a working class job. Birmingham, Ala., Toledo, Ohio, Springfield, Mass., and St. Louis comprise the remaining top five metros.

Positions evaluated must pay at least $35,540 a year, which is the national median wage. Registered nurses, truck drivers, bookkeepers, retail supervisors, police officers, administrative assistants, and electricians are some of the most common opportunities.
