Homebuyers in Cuyahoga County, Ohio, which includes Cleveland proper, need 13.7 percent of the average income to make a mortgage payment on an average priced home. The national average is 36.5 percent of the average wage.
The county sits at number 10 of the most affordable counties to buy a home, prepared by analyzing RealtyTrac’s Q1 analysis.
Other affordable counties include Lake County, Ind., which is in the Chicago metro area, and St. Louis City, ranking numbers four and three respectively.
