Housing Prices Have Gone Up Less Than a Big Mac in 30 Years [Video]

Realtor.com compares the price fluctuation of an existing single-family home with five common things: average undergrad tuition, RadioShack stock price, gasoline, cell phone, and a Big Mac.

Compared to tuition, gas, and a Big Mac, the price of housing hasn’t gone up much since 1986.

In contrast, the price of the most popular cell phones have decreased from a whopping $3,995 for a 28-ounce Motorola in 1984 to $199 or less for an iPhone, if buyers sign with a provider.
