Zillow: Alaska’s Housing Market is Stuck in a Deep Freeze

Alaska’s home values have been essentially flat over the past five years, Zillow Real Estate Research found.

“Alaska’s housing market is inextricably tied to the ups and downs of the oil industry,” the reports says. Though home values in the state didn’t freefall as badly as it did in the rest of the country, the recent slump in the oil market is hindering value growth.
